  • (1895–1976), American choreographer and film director; born William Berkeley Enos. He is remembered for spectacular and dazzling sequences in which huge casts of rhythmically moving dancers formed kaleidoscopic patterns on the screen. Notable films: the Gold Diggers series (1933–37) and Babes in Arms (1939).
