Definition of Tzara, Tristan
(1896–1963), French poet, born in Romania; born Samuel Rosenstock. One of the founders of the Dada movement in 1916, he wrote its manifestos. His poetry, with its continuous flow of unconnected images, helped form the basis for surrealism.
