Definition of Sosa, Sammy
(1968-), Dominican baseball player; full name Samuel Peralta Sosa. Most of his 1989–2007 career was as an outfielder for the Chicago Cubs. He is best known for his home-run totals, hitting at least 50 each year for 4 consecutive years 1998–2001.
