Definition of Vicente, Gil
(circa 1465-circa 1536), Portuguese dramatist and poet. He is regarded as Portugal’s most important dramatist; many of his works were written to commemorate national or court events and include religious dramas, farces, pastoral plays, and satirical comedies.
