Definition of Tollund Man
the well-preserved corpse of an Iron Age man (circa 500 bc- ad 400) found in 1950 in a peat bog in central Jutland, Denmark. Around the neck was a plaited leather noose, indicating that Tollund Man had met his death by hanging.
