Definition of Schrödinger, Erwin
(1887–1961), Austrian theoretical physicist. He founded the study of wave mechanics, deriving the equation whose roots define the energy levels of atoms. His general works influenced scientists of many different disciplines. Nobel Prize for Physics (1933).
