Definition of Saguia el-Hamra
an intermittent river in the north of Western Sahara. It flows into the Atlantic west of Laayoune. the region through which the Saguia el-Hamra river flows. A territory of Spain from 1934, it united with Río de Oro in 1958 to become a part of Spanish Sahara.
