Definition of Rwenzori
  • a mountain range in central Africa, on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire) between Lake Edward and Lake Albert, rising to 5,110 m (16,765 ft) at Margherita Peak on Mount Stanley. The range is generally thought to be the ‘Mountains of the Moon’ mentioned by Ptolemy, and as such the supposed source of the Nile.
