  • (1863–1933), English engine designer; full name Sir Frederick Henry Royce. He founded the company of Rolls-Royce Ltd with Charles Stewart Rolls in 1906, becoming famous as the designer of the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost car and later also becoming known for his aircraft engines.
