- (1931–90), Indian guru; born Chandra Mohan Jain; known as the Bhagwan (Sanskrit, ‘lord’). He founded an ashram in Pune, India, and a commune in Oregon, becoming notorious for his doctrine of communal therapy and salvation through free love. He was deported from the US in 1985 for immigration violations.
