Definition of Pollaiuolo
  • Antonio (circa 1432–98) and Piero (1443–96), Italian sculptors, painters, and engravers. Both brothers worked on the monuments to Popes Sixtus IV and Innocent VIII in St Peter’s, and Antonio is particularly known for his realistic depiction of the human form.
