Definition of Patten, Christopher
Baron Patten of Barnes (b.1944), English politician, Chancellor of Oxford University since 2003; full name Christopher Francis Patten. He was a Conservative MP 1979–92, governor of Hong Kong 1992-7, and an EU commissioner 2000-4.
