Definition of Newhouse
Samuel Irving, Sr. (1895–1979), US publisher; born Solomon Neuhaus. He founded Advance Publications, now the largest privately held media company, the holdings of which are controlled by his sons, Si (1927-; full name Samuel Irving Newhouse, Jr.) and Donald E. (1930-).
