Definition of Dench, Dame Judi
(b.1934), English actress; full name Judith Olivia Dench. She has performed with the Old Vic Company (1957–61) and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and appeared in numerous West End, film, and television productions; she won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare in Love (1998).
