  • (circa 1750–1822), English publisher. He compiled The Peerage of England, Scotland, and Ireland (first issued in 1803), which is regarded as the authority on the British nobility; it is published today as Debrett’s Peerage and Baronetage, but is often known just as Debrett’s.
