Definition of Cobain, Kurt
(1967–94), American rock singer, guitarist, and songwriter; full name Kurt Donald Cobain. Cobain was the leader of the Seattle band Nirvana, who were internationally successful with the album Nevermind in 1991. Apparently depressed by drug and health problems, he shot himself in April 1994.
