Definition of Brubeck, Dave
(b.1920), American jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader; full name David Warren Brubeck. He formed the Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1951 and won international recognition with the album Time Out, which included ‘Take Five’ (1959).
