Definition of Bogart, Humphrey
(1899–1957), American actor; full name Humphrey DeForest Bogart. His many films include Casablanca (1942), The Big Sleep (1946, in which he played opposite his fourth wife Lauren Bacall), and The African Queen (1951, for which he won an Oscar).
