  • Baroness Blixen-Finecke (1885–1962), Danish novelist and short-story writer; born Karen Dinesen; also known by the pseudonym of Isak Dinesen. She is best known for Seven Gothic Tales (1934) and her autobiography Out of Africa (1937), which she wrote after living in Kenya from 1914 to 1931.
