Definition of Albers, Josef
  • (1888–1976), German-born American artist, designer, and teacher. He taught at the Bauhaus until 1933, and his work was strongly influenced by constructivism. He later emigrated to the US, where he was instrumental in disseminating Bauhaus principles through his teaching work.
