Definition of Wheeler, John Archibald
  • (1911–2008), US theoretical physicist. Wheeler worked with Niels Bohr on nuclear fission and collaborated with Richard Feynman on problems concerning the retarded effects of action at a distance. He coined the term black hole in 1967.
