Definition of Wheeler, John Archibald
(1911–2008), US theoretical physicist. Wheeler worked with Niels Bohr on nuclear fission and collaborated with Richard Feynman on problems concerning the retarded effects of action at a distance. He coined the term black hole in 1967.
