Definition of Steffens, Lincoln
(1866–1936) US journalist; full name Joseph Lincoln Steffens. A leader of the muckraking movement, he was editor of McClure’s magazine 1902–06 and, as an associate editor, contributed articles to American and Everybody’s magazines 1906–11.
