Definition of Sherman, Roger
- (1721–93), American politician. A Connecticut legislator and jurist, he was an avid proponent of American independence. He held the distinction of having signed all of the following: the Articles of Association 1774, the Declaration of Independence 1776, the Articles of Confederation 1777, and the Constitution 1787.
