Definition of Revere, Paul
  • (1735–1818), American silversmith and patriot. In 1775 he rode from Boston to Lexington to warn fellow American revolutionaries of the approach of British troops. He is the subject of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s famous poem “Paul Revere’s Ride” (1863).
