Definition of Pribilof Islands
a group of four islands in the Bering Sea, off the coast of southwestern Alaska. First visited in 1786 by Russian explorer Gavriil Loginovich Pribylov (died 1796), they came into US possession after the purchase of Alaska in 1867.
