  • family name of Italian sculptors Nicola (circa 1220-circa 1278), and his son Giovanni (circa 1250-circa 1314). Nicola’s most famous works are the pulpits in the baptistery at Pisa and in Siena cathedral. Giovanni’s works include the richly decorated facade of Siena cathedral.
