Definition of Mansfield, Katherine
(1888–1923), New Zealand short-story writer; pseudonym of Kathleen Mansfield Beauchamp Murray. Her stories range from extended impressionistic evocations of family life to short sketches. Notable collections: In a German Pension (1911) and Bliss (1920).
