Definition of Iguaçu
a river in southern Brazil. It rises in the Serra do Mar in southeastern Brazil and flows west for 800 miles (1,300 km) to the Paraná River, which it joins just below Iguaçu Falls, a spectacular series of waterfalls. Spanish name Iguazú.
