Definition of Ford, Henry
  • (1863–1947), US automobile manufacturer. A pioneer of large-scale mass production, he founded the Ford Motor Company, which produced the Model T in 1909. Control of the company passed to his grandson, Henry Ford II (1917–1987), in 1945.
