Definition of Ellis, Havelock
(1859–1939), English psychologist and writer, remembered as the pioneer of the scientific study of sex; full name Henry Havelock Ellis. His major work was the six-volume Studies in the Psychology of Sex (1897–1910, with a seventh volume added in 1928).
