Definition of Carew, Rod
(1945-), US baseball player; born in Panama; full name Rodney Cline Carew. An infielder for the Minnesota Twins 1967–79 and the California Angels 1979–85, he was a seven-time American League batting champion 1969, 1972–75, 1977–78. Baseball Hall of Fame (1991).
