  • (1916–91), US writer; full name Frank Garvin Yerby. He wrote action-packed novels such as The Foxes of Harrow (1946), Judas, My Brother (1968), and The Dahomean (1971). Discrimination against blacks in the US caused him to live in Spain from 1955.
