/ˈprɪbɪlɒf/
a group of four islands in the Bering Sea, off the coast of SW Alaska. First visited in 1786 by the Russian explorer Gavriil Loginovich Pribylov (d.1796), they came into US possession after the purchase of Alaska in 1867.
