  • (1962-), US baseball player; full name William Roger Clemens; known as the Rocket. In 2004, he became the first pitcher to have won seven Cy Young awards. He set and tied a major league record by twice (1986, 1996) striking out 20 batters during a nine-inning game. During his career 1984–2007, he played for the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, and Houston Astros.
