(1895–1975), Soviet statesman, Chairman of the Council of Ministers (Premier) 1955-8; full name Nikolai Aleksandrovich Bulganin. He was Vice-Premier in the government of Georgi Malenkov in 1953, and in 1955 shared the premiership with Khrushchev.
